Sunday, March 28th, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Neck and shoulder pain are extremely common and may be caused by several factors, including daily activities that involve repetitive forward movement patterns, poor posture, or the habit of holding the head in one position.

We will work to release and tone these muscles, and improve postural alignment and range of motion.

Sunday, January 31st, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Back pain is one of the most common medical problems, affecting 8 out of 10 people, according to the National Institutes of Health. Yoga is one of the best ways to prevent and alleviate back pain by improving the quality of movement.

In this workshop expect to dive deeper into your personal yoga practice, while exploring the physical and metaphorical axis of yoga--the spine.

In addition to learning the benefits and risks of backbends and forward folds, we will practice a sequence designed to build strength and flexibility around the full circumference of the spine.

During this two-hour session we'll talk about anatomy as well as yoga philosophy, before settling in to a one-hour practice.

To Register: Venmo $35 to @Veronica-Agosta by 1/25, or email veronicaagosta72@gmail.com with preferred payment method.

Developing a Home Practice and Engaging Yoga as a Way of Life

Sunday, December 27th, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

In this workshop expect to build a bridge between yoga on the mat and yoga in your daily life.

Come learn the energetic effects of postures and a basic formula for developing a home practice. Expect to expand your idea of yoga beyond familiar poses and conscious breathing to include everything you encounter each day.

How do you get yoga to take root in your life? Yoga is first and foremost a mental or inner discipline and its power is only unleashed when we engage it as a way of life.

So in addition to exploring asana, we’ll delve into yoga philosophy, specifically the first two limbs of yoga, the Yamas and Niyamas, which can be used as signposts for your spiritual journey.

You will come away with powerful and practical tools for self-awareness and growth just in time for the new year.

To Register: Venmo $35 to @Veronica-Agosta by 12/25, or email veronicaagosta72@gmail.com with preferred payment method.

(After 12/25: $45)
